by reading EP5 i learned of something quite interesting:
umineko follows knox' commandments
knox' commandments say, among other stuff, that 1. battler is the detective for the first 4 EPs and thus cannot be the culprit and 2. the culprit MUST be among the 17 people introduced early in the story (this excludes kinzo as hes been dead for more than 1 year before the story)
furthermore, we get some red text, saying that (major spoiler ahead) natsuhi is innocent which, i guess, is true for ALL EPs.
thats why im re-reading the vn now, trying to solve the mystery
in order to discuss my thoughts with you, id like to share my thoughts (in this post, from here on the spoiler tags arent really spoilers, only my thoughts, which MIGHT just be right
first, my main suspects are Kumasawa for her mentioned acting talent, Shannon, Kanon, Krauss, Nanjo, Kyrie and Gohda for being "witnesses of magic arrows that are shot by a bunch of bunny-girls under kinzos command" in EP4 because what they have witnessed cannot have happened. suspecting gohda and kumasawa also clears the closed room murder where kumasawa and gohda were hanged and shot in the gardening shed in EP4.
besides them, i also suspect Eva and Hideyoshi because the detective witnessed eva shooting him at the end of EP3, and i further suspect Rudolph and Rosa for no big reason, rudolph simply is kyries husband, and rosa seemed to really want that gold lump in EP2
second, i do not suspect Jessica, George, Maria, Battler, Natsuhi and Genji. out of those, i am sure that neither Battler nor Natsuhi are the culprit,Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
oh yeah, of course it is revealed in EP4 that 07151129 is a number related to a certain banks treasure vault, so it may just be a random number the bank gave out, i dont remember the details about that, though
so, heres the first theorie i am sure to have figured out
its on EP 4
so first for the motive:
i think ive said it before, but the motive should be love or rather revenge for betraying that love against battler
the culprit is shannon, maybe with a little help from nanjo
he isnt necessarily needed, however; at least not in EP 4
first, she gives maria an umbrella, disguised as beatrice, and tells her to claim that she got it from kinzo
this could also have been done by nanjo, in this case maria wouldnt even have been lying about it as she literally said "she got it from grandfather". in japanese, grandfather can also just mean an old man
second, she brings kinzos corpse in the dining hall, probably on krauss' command, and kills six people more or less at random

i forgot something quite important
Shannon could have killed herself
the stake was lying next to her head and her head was blown off
there was no weapon whatsoever next to her
so how did she kill herself then?
she was lying next to the well where kyrie claimed to have escaped through from the basement prison of kuwadorian
the well has a gutter on top of it that cannot be opened
however
the gutter is made of steel bars that have about 20 cm space between them
that is enough to drop the weapon into
of course she didnt drop the weapon after she shot herself (i assume youre not capable of that anymore after half of your head is smashed..)Message too long. Click here to view the full text.
Okay, can somebody please kindly explain to me- WTF IS THIS? I head almost asploded when I tried to solve the mystery
how far have you read?
i cant explain anything to you unless you want me to spoil up to ep 5 :3
this is who i think is the "Takano-Style" Mastermind of umineko:
Jessica
i have various reasons for that, mostly hints from EP 1 and 2, also "Battler's sin" from EP 4
(this post does not contain spoilers from EP 5, although i have used the EP 5 hints to reach my conclusions)
so
what do you think about the last ep of umineko anime?
wasnt it like awesome how battler fights down beato?
and then suddenly kinzo turn into a dragon for no obvious reason
wtf, srsly
they left out much, probably quite important, red text
some of it is said in normal text, but thats not the same
and the short scene with lambdadelta and bernkastel...
in the vn lambda reveals several mysteries in red, for example: "ROSA WAS SHOT BY A HUMAN WHO WAS STANDING RIGHT IN FRONT OF HER IN THE FIRST GAME."

- in the VN jessica doesnt sing dokkyun heart but tsurupettan (silver forest)
- in the anime ep 24 they omitted a scene from the VN how krauss and the others escape the dungeon. it has to do with kanon and shannon going synchro like the siestas and interrupting their sniping with spirit particles. there is also a fight between a goat and krauss. a goats power level is at about 1000, krauss power level 6 at his maximum. but virgilia and the goat trigger too many loser flags, and krauss can land a crossblow which, logically, accounts to a huge multiplier so that krauss' power level goes over 9000.
so, to start this off some thoughts:
ill refer to the "chapters" as the EPs of umineko, the current running chapter in the anime is EP4
summoning magic usually is thought of as dangerous because it means to summon schizophrenia upon yourself. this explains ange and maria with their imaginary friends. it also could be used if you look at battler as the "magician" who has to suffer from schizophrenia and sees all those murders happening for some reason
EP4 spoiler ahead:
this could be an effect of his "sin" beatrice mentions during his test
It's not schizophrenia if people you had contact with prior to the magickal act can acknowledge what you did.
question: are there actually people who can or are they delusions?
To be quite honest, I did once or twice a couple of what I thought were magical performings "because it was worth the try" and, to my amusement, witnessed the desired results.
Like, once I did a sorcery intended for fucking up my father's life in some way and the next day his car broke in the middle of an avenue.
